Travel Tips and ideas

1. Taxis are the preferred means to get around in Mauritius. When you arrive at the airport of Mauritius or at the seaport, be sure to have already booked your airport transfer with a trusted transport company. That would really ease your life.

The benefits of pre-booked airport transfers:
- driver will be waiting for you holding the sign with your name on
- it’s a guarantee there will be a vehicle for you at the time you request
- no need to queue for taxis or drag your bags around searching for public transport.

2. When you are on way to your destination, ask your driver for suggestions about what can be done in the island. Don’t sit idle. The driver knows the country well and he will be glad to help you.

3. Don’t forget to take the drivers’ contact details in case you will be needing transport latter during your holidays. Also that may help should you have forgotten any stuffs in the drivers car.

4. Always take a taxi car that is registered and fully equipped for your safety. Check if baby seats are provided should you have babies traveling with you.
